Our Home

Our aim is ‘to treat each individual as if they were family’. We know the importance of trust and respect and work hard to communicate effectively with all parties involved to offer our residents an excellent quality of life and a safe and homely environment.

We understand that moving into a care home is a big decision and there are concerns about the ‘unknown’. This website is designed to provide you with useful information and reassurance but if we have left anything out please do not hesitate to contact us. You will find our details by clicking on the ‘Contact Us’ tab.

For anyone thinking about moving into Avonbridge, the best way to decide whether we are right for you is to come and visit us. During a visit you will have the opportunity to meet and talk to other residents and staff, join us for lunch or even catch a concert – what better way to get the information you need!

Facilities

We have 42 bedrooms of varying sizes, most with ensuite facilities. Both floors have communal bathrooms, there are two communal dining rooms and lounges, a hairdressing room and a quiet relatives room to use. An indoor garden area and activity hut are also available for people to use as an alternative to the busier lounges. The ground floor provides unrestricted access into the enclosed garden area with seated areas for residents and visitors to use.

We can provide you with a single bed, wardrobe, bedside table and easy chair. You are encouraged to bring your own possessions to develop a feeling of familiarity and belonging. Your room will be your personal space and can be decorated to your taste.

Laundry facilities are available on site with the exception of dry cleaning and handwash only items.

Environment

Situated on the banks of the River Avon, only a short distance from Hamilton centre, Avonbridge is in the midst of lively surroundings and considered a community within the community. Excellent, communal facilities occupy the ground floor with bedrooms above and a designated relatives room on the top floor. Residents and visitors can enjoy the beautiful secure gardens or visit nearby Chatelherault Country Park with an abundance of accessible and pleasant walks.

Visitors

We encourage family and friends to visit you at the home and oversee the care you are receiving, however if you do not wish to see a visitor we will respect your wishes.
